As the entire film industry is trying to recover from the tragic death of one of the most celebrated directors and screenwriters, K Subash, choreographer-actor-director Prabhudeva is still shocked with the passing away of his friend.
Recalling his moments with the Chennai Express writer, Prabhudheva says, “I knew Subash even before entering the industry. He served as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam and my father (Sundaram) worked with him closely during those days. I shared a special equation with Subash, and I am still finding it hard to digest the fact that he is no more. In my acting career, he has given me two gems — Ninaivirukkum Varai and Eazhaiyin Sirippil, which established the performer in me.”
He adds, “Subash was working on the script of my next film starring Vishal and Karthi. Last month, he was rigorously fine-tuning the script and today he is no more. But, he always knew that he wouldn’t live long. I met his family today and I have no words to explain my sorrow.”
