Zambia's inflation slows to 8.8 percent year/year in November
LUSAKA (Reuters) - Zambia's inflation slowed to 8.8 percent year-on-year in November from 12.5 percent in October, the statistics office said on Thursday. The monthly inflation rate rose to 1.5 percent in November from 0.5 percent the previous month, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) said in a statement. "The slowdown in the year on year inflation is mainly attributed to the base effect," the CSO said, referring to the impact of the price level in the previous year.
