Ladies European Tour pro's Nanna Koertsz Madsen and Florentyna Parker took on rookies, Nuria Iturrios and Linda Wessberg in a unique challenge from Al Safliyah Island ahead of the inaugural Qatar Ladies Open (QLO) at Doha Golf Club.
Teeing off towards the stunning Doha skyline on Tuesday, the teams who will play together as part of the LET's team at The Queens tournament in Japan next month were tasked with hitting a target on the roof of a Dhow 100 yards out from the shoreline, made no easier by the fact the players were using biodegradable 'fish-food' golf balls, heavier than what they're used to.
Who won? Keep an eye out for the video on Instagram and Twitter (@qatarladiesopen), and on Facebook (/QatarLadiesOpen) over the coming days.
One hundred and eight players are competing in Qatar's first women's professional golf tournament this week for the QR2,000,000 prize purse and a chance to climb the 2016 Order of Merit as the season reaches its climax.
Alongside world-class golf, the tournament will offer an action-packed calendar of off-course events including fun family activations in The Village and a special women's professional networking dinner. For more information, fans may visit: www.qatarladiesopen.com
