Gujarat: Elderly man dies of heart attack outside bank in Botad

Police said they were not sure as to what the old man was doing under the marquee. “No old currency notes were found from his possession. Bank officers told us that he had already withdrawn Rs24,000, the maximum an account holder is permitted per week, for this week. Prima facie, it seems that he was accompanying somebody to the bank when he suffered heart attack,” the PSI further said, adding they were inquiring into the incident.

This is second such incident in 10 days in Saurashtra. Mansukh Makwana (65), a retired tailor had suffered reportedly suffered heart attack and died while standing in a queue outside a branch of Bank of India in Limdi town of Surendranagar on November 13.
