THE (RED) BRANDED SHOPPING MARATHON IN THE USA BEGINS FOR CONCRETE PARTICIPATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST AIDS

Jimmy Kimmel Live, the highly popular talk show on the American ABC network, embraces (RED)'s fight against AIDS and dedicates two special episodes to it, scheduled to air on 22 and 30 November.

Julia Roberts, Channing Tatum, Kriste Bell and the band The Killers are a few of the guests who will be participating in this special broadcast that launches Shopathon, the shopping marathon organized by (RED) during which the public will be able to purchase (RED) products - obviously red in colour - developed specifically by the most famous international brands. These are special edition items, the sale of which will contribute to the dream of achieving an 'AIDS free generation'.

Vespa is included among these special products. This is the first time that a vehicle is participating in the campaign where Vespa is participating with their most charming model. The (VESPA 946)represents the most elegant and stylish way to show your awareness of a big problem and it represents the chance to play a concrete role in one of mankind's most difficult battles.

The Most exclusive and most precious Vespa, born to celebrate the beauty of a vehicle that has become legendary, dresses entirely in red down to its smallest detail, as never before. Thanks to its value, (VESPA 946) is also the product that promises to make the biggest contribution to such a noble cause as it joins the ranks of other prestigious (RED) brands such as Apple, Nike, Bank of America, Starbucks and the Coca-Cola Company. For each (VESPA 946) RED sold, $150 will be donated to the Global Fund and the fight against AIDS. This is a concrete and valuable contribution, thanks to which (RED) will be able to guarantee more than 500 days of life-saving medical treatments against HIV and help to prevent transmission of the virus from infected mothers to their unborn infants.

Founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver, (RED) has contributed $360 million to the Global Fund in the battle against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. These funds have arrived in Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia. 100% of the resources have been invested in Africa to finance programmes intended to fight HIV/AIDS. (RED)'s support for the Global Fund has had an impact on more than 70 million people with prevention, treatment and consulting operations, as well as HIV tests and assistance services.
