Arjun Rampal launches an initiative to make cancer care affordable

Arjun Rampal may be busy with his projects 'Daddy' and 'Aankhen 2' but for the actor, family comes first. Arjun recently returned from the US after completing his mother Gwen's cancer treatment. Gwen Rampal is a breast cancer survivor.

Having experienced the effects of cancer up-close, the National Award-winning actor has launched an initiative to raise awareness about the deadly disease.One of the objectives is to spread awareness about the causes and symptoms of cancer, especially among women.
However, the main focus will be on making cancer treatment as affordable as possible. Speaking to a daily, Arjun revealed that he was fortunate enough to be able to afford his mother's treatment, but he realized that not everyone in the country can cope with the expenses. It is this fact that motivated him to launch an initiative like this.
The 'Rock On 2' actor also revealed that he will tie up with local hospitals, with the aim of treating a set number of patients annually, free of cost.
