BHOPAL: Assistant district prosecution officer
Ragini Shrivastava was felicitated with a
bravery award at the Amar Shaheed Veerangana Jhalkari Bai Jayanti Samaroh organised at
Gandhi Bhawan on Tuesday.
Ragini Shrivastava, 46, was honoured for
saving a 14-year-old girl, who was trapped in a fight between two angry bulls while waiting for an autorickshaw near
Ayodhya Nagar police station on January 1. The bulls started fighting suddenly and the girl and her mother were caught in the middle of it.
None of the bystanders dared reach out to help. But Shrivastava jumped into the melee and pulled the mother-daughter to safety despite suffering a fracture in a leg during the rescue.
