Four passengers on board the Indore-Patna Express remained missing a day after the train derailed near Kanpur Dehat on Sunday. The relatives of Pooja Pandey, 32, Chandra Pratap Singh, 46, Shravan Kumar, 22, and Kaushalya Devi, 65, scoured morgues and hospitals but could not trace them till Monday evening.

Pooja is the mother of four-year-old Adarsh, whose photo appeared in The Indian Express on Monday. The mother-son duo are from Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur while Singh, Kumar and Kaushalya Devi belong to Indore, Bihar and Ghazipur, respectively.

Harried relatives were running from morgues to hospitals desperately looking for their loved ones. Pooja’s husband, Ravindra Pandey, 37, their eight-year-old son, Ayush, died in the accident while Adarsh suffered minor injuries. “We have found Ravindra and Ayush’s bodies, but Pooja is untraceable.
