At a public hearing on September 22nd, CCPA-BC researchers Alex Hemingway and Iglika Ivanova presented recommendations for BC’s 2017 Budget. They highlighted seven priority areas: child care, poverty reduction, education and healthcare funding, affordable housing, climate action, proceeds from natural resource development, and progressive tax reform.
