Novena of Saint Francis Xavier from Thursday

The nine-day novena for the feast of Goencho Saib, Saint Francis Xavier, on December 3, will commence from Thursday, November 24. This year, the theme of the feast is ‘Inspired by St Francis Xavier, let us be messengers of God's Mercy'.

PANAJI: The nine-day novena for the feast of Goencho Saib, Saint Francis Xavier, on December 3, will commence from Thursday, November 24.
This year, the theme of the feast is ‘Inspired by St Francis Xavier, let us be messengers of God’s Mercy’. The theme has been chosen keeping in mind that the universal Church has adopted the theme of ‘Merciful, like the father’ for this pastoral year.
Mass will be celebrated daily at 6am, 7.15am, 8.15am, 9.30am, 10.30am, 3.45pm, 5.15pm and in English, at 6.15pm. A mass will be held at 5am on November 26 and November 27. On the feast day, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 4am, 5am, 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 10.30am, 12.30pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and in English, at 6pm. No mass will be celebrated at 10.30am on November 24 and 25.
There will be special celebrations of mass in different languages. On November 26, there will be a mass in
Portuguese at 11.30am and in French at 2.30pm. On November 29, mass will be celebrated in Italian at 11.30am, while on December 3, mass will be celebrated in Spanish at 3pm.
On November 27, there will be celebration of the Holy Eucharist in Tamil at 11.30am, in Malayalam at 12.30pm and in Hindi at 2.30pm. On December 1, mass will be celebrated in Marathi at 11.30am, while on December 2, mass will be celebrated in Kannada at 11.30am.
