ALLAHABAD: Nupur Talwar, one of the accused in the sensational Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, has filed an application in the Allahabad high court for extension of her parole.
Nupur, who is also the mother of Aarushi, has said in her application that her mother is seriously ill. And since her other siblings are living outside the country, she has requested the court to extend her parole so that she could take care of her mother until her siblings return to India.
The present application has been filed in the pending criminal appeal moved by Nupur before the Allahabad high court, challenging the life sentence awarded to her by the CBI court in Ghaziabad in the double murder case.

A division bench comprising Justice Bala Krishna Narayana and Justice A K Mishra will hear this application on November 24.
Nupur, along with her husband Rajesh Talwar, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2013 for the murder of their 14-year-old daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj and destruction of evidence and common intention by a special CBI court.
Aarushi and Hemraj were murdered on the intervening night of May 15 and 16, 2008 at Talwar’s flat in Jalvayu Vihar in Noida.
It was initially suspected that Hemraj had killed Aarushi. However, the case took a dramatic turn when Hemraj’s body was recovered two days later from the terrace of the same flat.
