Priyanka Chopra visits gurudwara before launch of her film Sarvann’s trailer, see pics and video

Priyanka launched the film’s trailer in Toronto and she was accompanied by the cast and crew of the movie along with her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra. The also visited a gurudwara there before the launch event.

Priyanka took to Twitter to share Sarvann’s trailer and wrote, “Presenting the trailer of #Sarvann, @PurplePebblePic’s maiden Punjabi film. Proud to work with this amazing team…”

The film is the third to be produced by Priyanka and tells the coming-of-age tale of a young man living in Canada who returns to India to reconnect with his roots. And in a report by CBC News, the actor said Toronto was the ideal place to debut the trailer.

“Toronto was very important to me because it has such a massive Punjabi community,” Chopra said at a press conference Sunday. “I think the Punjabi community is an extremely proud and upheld community in Toronto and I really wanted to bring the film somewhere where it would be appreciated and looked at for what we were trying to make.”

While, Priyanka will soon be busy with her Hollywood debut film Baywatch, and is mostly not in India, her mother Madhu Chopra is taking care of the day-to-day work of the production banner. Priyanka has enjoyed success in the stream of filmmaking. Her Marathi production Ventilator received appreciation and now, the actress is hopeful for this Punjabi film Sarvann. The film features Punjabi actor Amrinder Gill.
