Theresa May unveils plan for post Brexit Britain - but look what steals the show!

THERESA May's speech at the CBI annual conference was overshadowed as she was persistently attacked by a rogue moth, with some viewers joking that it must have flown out of the Government purse.

The red coloured moth hovered around the Prime Minister's head as she gave her speech to the CBI annual conference, designed to outline Britain's place in the world in the wake of the EU Referendum.

But the "Brexit butterfly" stole the show, even landing on the back of Mrs May's head at one stage.

The Prime Minister refused to get in a flap over the red moth, and will no doubt deny there are any flies on her when it comes to negotiating Britain's EU exit.

It is not the first time Mrs May has been attacked by something red while trying to deliver a policy statement, Jeremy Corbyn has drawn praise for his performances at Prime Ministers' Questions in recent weeks.

But conspiracy theorists have been drawn to the creature like a moth to a flame, saying the red moth is a sign of Mrs May's hidden agenda.

According to spirit-animals.com, a red moth is a sign that someone has knowledge of "the other world" and shows someone is "hiding something from themselves or using emotion to keep yourself hidden from others".

Scottish folk law also believes a red butterfly is a sign that somebody is "a witch in disguise", while in other cultures it is understood to represent evil.

However, Native American superstition claims red flying creatures show passion, romance and good luck to come, so it is not necessarily a prophecy of doom.
