Clothes factory, utility store burgled

HAFIZABAD -Robbers continued rampage to through city areas and burgled a readymade clothes factory and a utility store the other night.
According to police sources, dacoits stormed a readymade clothes factory and utility store the other night and made off with cash, clothes and other articles worth more than Rs3 million.
According to Sheikh Muhammad Sajid, owner of cloth factory, unidentified dacoits stormed his factory in Mohallah Sharifpura, tied the watchman and decamped with Rs1.2 million cash and readymade garments worth Rs1.5.
The dacoits also barged into a utility store located on busiest Jalalpur Road and made off with cash, tins of ghee, tea leaves and other merchandise worth hundreds of thousands of rupees. The police have registered cases but failed to arrest any of the accused.
FISH VENDORS BOOKED: The police have booked nine fish vendors on charge of hurling threats to TMA staff.
The City Police registered the case on the report of Tehsil Officer (Revenue) Ikramullah Sandhu who complained fish vendors: Mudassar, Khadam, Zaman, Usman, Mansha, Naeem, Muzaffar, Ismail and Mudassar Ameen threatened him and other staffers when he was removing encroachments from Fawara Chowk.
The police have arrested four vendors and the others escaped. The fish vendors, however, claimed that the TMA staff had come to extort ‘bhatta’ from them.
