HYDERABAD: The Begumpet metro station is being designed as a 'special three level station' and may have skywalks descending at the Begumpet railway station on one side and the Greenlands junction on the other side. This is one of the key suggestions made by a team after inspecting the premises on Friday.
The team also advised L & T engineers to leave enough space for future widening of Kundanbagh road to 100 feet and locate metro structures accordingly .The team comprises NVS Reddy , managing director of HMRL, B Janardhan Reddy , commissioner, GHMC, and Rahul Bojja, collector Hyderabad.

The team will make its recommendations to the government regarding location of various other facilities, including parking and circulation areas for Begumpet metro station in the next few days. “The team is likely to recommend construction of skywalks, which will provide better connectivity with other modes of transport like railways, buses and other feeder services, apart from connecting nearby educational institutions, including Begumpet Public school, Geetanjali school, and other commercial complexes in Begumpet,“ said NVS Reddy , managing director, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited.
