Court moved against docs’ ‘negligence’

CHITRAL-A journalist has moved the sessions court against the doctors and the medical superintendent of Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) for their “criminal negligence” which allegedly caused the death of his son M Farhan.
Lawyer of the petitioner, Mohibullah Terichvi, submitted a complaint to the district and sessions judge seeking justice demanding lodging of an FIR against the doctors of Surgical A Unit Hayatabad Medical Complex and the medical Superintendent for their negligence. The petitioner contended that owing to the negligence and non misbehaviour on the part of the doctors and the hospital staff, his son lost the battle for life as he was not timely treated there
The petitioner alleged that the doctors turned a blind eye to their responsibilities and delayed the operation of Farhan leading to his untimely death in a blooming age of 13 years.
Earlier, Gul Hammad Farooqui, the senior journalist, submitted applications to concerned SHOs as well as to the IGP, health authorities but failed to get justice. After facing nonchalance and indifferent attitude of the authorities, the journalist submitted an application to the court for due assistance in lodging the FIR under 22-A 22-B of CrPC against the doctor for dereliction of the duties in the case.
