HYDERABAD: Zaereen (Devotees) Action Committee of the shrines of Sakhi Wahab Shah Jeelani, Hyderabad, have expressed their resentment over the suspension of construction work at Jama Masjid and shrine of Sakhi Wahab Shah Jeelani and have termed the newly formed committee of the trust as “mock”. In a statement issued on Friday, the devotees warned that suspension and delay in construction work of mosque and shrine cannot be tolerated. They said Auqaf Department was playing with the sentiment of the followers and devotees by imposing a mock committee of trustees, which had been silent so far over the problems being faced by devotees. They demanded of the Auqaf department to resume the construction work in accordance with international standard. They further demanded to abolish the trustees’ committee and to form a new committee in consultation with the devotees.
