Rajasthan: 75-year-old dies outside Jhunjhunu bank

He died on the spot before the police arrived.

A 75-year-old former railway employee died while leaving a bank in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district after withdrawing money on Saturday, the police said.

“Ratnaram had gone to the bank to withdraw money. As per bank officials, he withdrew Rs 2,000 at 1.15 pm. After stepping out of the bank, he started vomiting and collapsed outside,” said sub-inspector Bajrang Lal, Station House Officer, Pilani.

According to police, Ratnaram had gone to State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute in Pilani, Jhunjhunu.

The eyewitnesses informed the police and bank officials. But he died on the spot before the police arrived, said. He added that the deceased used to live alone and his two sons are based in Bikaner.

“The deceased’s sons are on their way. We have kept the body for post-mortem,” Lal said.
