Rumours are doing the rounds that a star kid is getting ready to make her debut in Kollywood. Well, it is none other than Subbulakshmi, the daughter of actress Gautami, who ended her 11-year relationship with Kamal Haasan recently.
According to the latest reports, Subbulakshmi is likely to share screen space with Dhanush. He and director Soundarya Rajinikanth have finalised her name to play the female lead in Velaiilla Pattadhari 2.
Subbulakshmi is just 16 and often spotted these days with her mother at events. She is said to have done a course in acting. However, it is not confirmed whether she is ready for the big debut at this stage.
Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 is produced by Dhanush under his home banner of WunderBar Films, in association with Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations. The first look of the movie was released recently and received good response.
The film will feature music by Sean Roldan. But the background score of Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the music for the first instalment, has been retained. Besides acting and producing the movie, Dhanush has written the story and dialogues for the upcoming film, while Soundarya Rajinikanth will write the screenplay.
Velaiyilla Pattathari was written and directed by Velraj. Amala Paul had played the female lead in the film. The movie is about Raghuvaran, an unemployed man who is humiliated by his father and suffers comparison with his engineer brother. After much struggle, he finds his dream job. But his enemy is ready to bring him down. What follows next remains the highlight of the story.
It is not clear whether Velaiilla Pattadhari 2, which will be a bilingual movie made in Tamil and Telugu, will be the continuation of the first part or if the sequel will be made with a fresh story.
