Prostitution racket busted in Banaskantha

Palanpur: Banaskantha police on Thursday late night busted a prostitution racket from Swagat Society in Palanpur town and arrested 12 persons including seven pimps and five customers. They also rescued six women belonging to Vadiya village in Tharad taluka of the district.
A team headed by assistant superintendent of police conducted the raid at two different places simultaneously.It was probably first time that such a large number of people engaged in immoral trafficking and prostitution racket were held, said Neeraj Badgujar, superintendent of police Banaskatha.
The women have been sent to women rehabilitation centre in Banaskantha.
