Youth shoots self in Nalagarh

SOLAN: An 18-year-old youth, Gurvinder Singh, shot himself with his father’s licensed .



Solan, November 18

An 18-year-old youth, Gurvinder Singh, shot himself with his father’s licensed .22 bore revolver at his residence at Kripalpur village in Nalagarh subdivision here this afternoon. Nalagarh DSP Sahil Arora said Gurvinder, who was preparing for his compartment exam, was upset for the last about two weeks as stated by his parents.

The DSP said as the shot was fired from point-blank range it proved fatal and it appeared to be a case of suicide. No foul play was suspected in preliminary investigations conducted by the police. The body was sent for a postmortem later and its report was yet to be received. — TNS
