Could Trump's ex Marla Maples become a UN ambassador?

Is Donald Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples angling for a job alongside him?

Maples, who is the mother of Trump's youngest daughter, Tiffany, was seen at Trump Tower Wednesday, reportedly lobbying for the post as a UN Ambassador in Africa.

A source close to Trump's second wife told Page Six she "has been very interested in philanthropy for a long time."

She wouldn't be the only surprise hire. Trump is meeting with former foe Mitt Romney over the weekend at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. Romney is under consideration for secretary of state along with Rudy Giuliani and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

Romney had harsh words about Trump during the campaign. In March, the former presidential candidate called Trump "a phony" and "a fraud" and urged voters not to support him.

Former Lieutenant-General Michael Flynn has accepted the post of national security advisor. Flynn caused a stir when he led "lock her up" chants aimed at Hillary Clinton during the GOP convention.

Senator Jeff Sessions has been selected as attorney general. The Republican from Alabama became a close advisor to Trump during the campaign.

Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner, is expected to take a key role as unpaid special adviser to the president.

On Thursday, Kushner and his wife were with the president-elect to meet Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Abe said he wanted to meet with Trump to "build trust" and told reporters: "I am very honored to see the president-elect ahead of other world leaders."
