MIM MLA’s kin assault old lady, Hussaini Alam Police registers case

The Hussaini Alam Police has registered a case against MIM MLA Mumtaz Khan’s brother Mukthar Ahmed Khan for assaulting a 50-year-old woman and threatening her with his firearm.

Hyderabad City Police appears to be in complete control of All Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and therefore, it has turned a blinds’s eye to the rowdism and land grabbing by MIM leaders and their kin, especially in the Old City of Hyderabad.

The MIM appears to have got license from the authorities to continue and expand their illegal activities, especially land grabbing. MIM leaders and workers have now started targeting the private properties in the city. The situation has turned so worse that no private property is safe if its neighbour is a MIM leader. They are encroaching upon private properties in broad day light and have managed the local police and other authorities in such a way that they do not even accept the complaints of genuine owners.

This case is an example of how MIM leaders are using their influence and clout to allegedly encroach upon private properties without even giving any respect to the court orders. It also shows how the authorities have become habitual of remaining mute spectator to the illegal activities of MIM leaders.

In this case, MIM leader Mukhtar Ahmed Khan, brother of Yakutpura MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, has encroached upon the property belonging to an elderly woman, Waseema Begum, a resident of Tolichowki. She owns about 517 sq yards situated at Shalibanda. Her only mistake is her property is adjacent to Nayab Function Hall, owned by Mumtaz Khan.

Fearing encroachment by Mukhtar Ahmed Khan and his son Iftekhar Khan, she had approached the court and obtained an Interim Injunction against both Muktar Ahmed Khan (R1) and Ifthekar Khan (R2) from the Court of the IV Junior Civil Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad. The court, Vide IA No. 567/2015 in OS No. 3080/2015, dated 15th December, 2015, issued the following order: “This court considered to grant ex-parte injunction against the respondents No. 1 & 2 dispensing with notice. The petitioner is granted ad-interim injunction restraining the respondents No. 1 &2 from interfering into the petition ‘B’ schedule property in any manner what so ever.”

Despite the court order, the MIM leaders have resorted to criminal trespass, house breaking and encroached upon her private property. They demolished the boundary wall, removed the gate and are now using the premises for parking their vehicles.

On learning about his encroachment, Waseema Begum and other relatives visited the site. However, the MIM leaders abused them and threatened them of dire consequences if they return to their own property. They even molested her and told her that no police official could stop them from taking away her property. They also said that court orders are not applicable in their areas.

Since local police refused to accept her complaint, Waseema Begum approached the court alleging that that Mukhtar Ahmed Khan, his son Iftekhar Khan and their goons trespassed into her house and thereby outraged her modesty by touching her. They also threatened her with dire consequences by showing daggers, knives and deadly weapons and demolished the wall, for which the accused are liable for punishment for the offence U/Sec.323, 354, 427, 447. 506, 509, 120-B, R/w. 34 IPC & Sec. 25 (1) (b) Indian Arms Act. After hearing the complaint, the court had referred the complaint to S.H.O. P.S. Hussaini Alam, Hyderabad, U/s 156 (3) of Cr.P.C. for investigation and filing report, in the interest of justice.

After much delay, the Hussaini Alam Police has finally registered a case against Mukhtar Ahmed Khan and his son Iftekhar Khan.

The victim, Waseema Begum, says that she was feeling helpless against the rowdism of MIM leaders. She said she was not getting any help from the authorities or police officials who initially defied court orders to support the MIM leaders. She said although the MIM leaders, Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi, make tall claims of representing the Muslim community. But they have unleashed a reign of terror by allowing their goons to encroach upon private properties. She said she would approach the higher authorities and even launch hunger strike, if no action is taken against the MIM’s land grabbers. (ENDS)
