Ever since the turtleneck sweater returned from its menswear exile last fall, it's been our duty to remind you, at every turn, why it's the most powerful piece of knitwear you can add to your closet. And last night, three stylish guys helped prove that point.

At the Dior-sponsored Guggenheim International Gala pre-party last evening in NYC, actually famous people mingled with some of the art world's most powerful people and some of the fashion industry's most Insta-famous insiders. By all accounts, it's the type of party that brings out a mixed crowd of genuinely cool people, stuffed with as many uptown elites as it is with downtown insiders. Future, Shameik Moore, and Brad Goreski were just a few of the bold-faced names in attendance but, frankly, are the only three we care about because they looked so damn sharp

Sure, it helps that all three were decked out in Dior Homme (never a bad thing) but what impressed us was that all three elected to wear a black turtleneck with their respective looks. (To be clear, a $1,050 über-soft cashmere turtleneck from the house.) Rapper and sunglass aficionado Future put his under a slim navy suit and stylist Goreski did the same (albeit in some swerve-ier tailoring), while The Get Down's Moore opted to pair his with just a streamlined camel coat.. If you need further proof than these three guys looking this good to convince you to buy one and wear it under everything you own, we don't have it—because it doesn't exist. But you know what is out there? Plenty of black knit turtlenecks at every budget.
