Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is not interested in taking over at Charlton, according to Sky sources.
Russell Slade's departure has left the League One club searching for a fourth boss in little more than a year and Hasselbaink is being quoted at odds-on by some bookmakers.
But it is understood the Dutchman, sacked by QPR earlier this month, will not be succeeding Slade at The Valley.
He plans instead to take some time away from the game before resuming a management career that began at Burton before his move to Loftus Road.
Hasselbaink has spoken of his disappointment at losing the Rs job, saying: "I still believe we were on course to achieve our targets."
Kevin Nugent, Slade's assistant, will take temporary charge of Charlton until a permanent successor is found,.
