Third escaped HMP Leyhill prisoner Admi Headley hands himself in

A third prisoner who absconded from an open prison has handed himself in to police.

Admi Headley, 34, went missing from HMP Leyhill on Sunday along with Wayne Maycock, 33, and Paul Bromwich, 54.

Avon and Somerset Police said Headley - who was described as a risk to the public - handed himself in to a police station in Bristol on Wednesday night.

Bromwich was found in the Staple Hill area of the city on Monday morning and Maycock was detained on Tuesday.

Headley was jailed in 2006 for rape and robbery.

The trio's disappearance came less than a week after two men escaped from HMP Pentonville in north London, although both have now been apprehended.

Leyhill, near Wotton-under-Edge, is a category D prison housing more than 500 inmates, some on life sentences.
