Yassy Hosseini, an former staffer at Geffen Records, Capitol and Interscope Geffen A&M (IGA) died on October 27 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 39.
Hosseini began her career at Geffen Records in 2002 working in publicity and radio promotion. At Capitol Records, she was an executive coordinator, responsible for organizing such company events as the EMI Grammy Party and The Beatles’ Love playback.
After several years working in marketing — for Bukhatir Group in MENA Region/ Dubai, UAE and RR&CO, Bespoke Luxury Management in Dubai, UAE — she returned to Interscope Geffen A&M in 2010 where she handled international marketing, special projects, branding and music licensing for such artists as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Maroon 5, No Doubt, OneRepublic, Meghan Trainor and Imagine Dragons.

There was not one day in the office when she didn’t make someone smile. Yassy will always remain part of the international team at Interscope. We miss her.”
?Born in Tehran, Iran, Hosseini moved to the USA at the age of two and grew up in Palos Verdes, CA. She was a graduate of UC Long Beach.
