A 22-year-old woman from Nalasopara committed suicide on Monday by consuming poison. Before that though, she typed out a two-page draft message on her cellphone, blaming the teacher at an Andheri-based institute where she was pursuing a course in computers. She also said she could not handle the negativity around her. In the note, she expressed adoration for a boy, and apologised to her parents for taking the drastic step.

The woman was a resident of Sopara village, and the daughter of a trader. She was rushed to Riddhivinayak Multispeciality Hospital. The woman's family and neighbours were in shock when they learnt about the incident.

"The girl left a draft message on her cellphone. She first apologised to her parents for taking the drastic step, as they had given her love. She also left behind a message for her brother," said a Nalasopara police officer.

"In the note, she expressed her adoration for a boy and said she loved him very much," the officer said.

Assistant Inspector Ravindra Narote, who is investigating the case, said, "The girl said he could not handle the negativity around her, and was unable to cope with life due to a person she identified as Vishal Sir."

The Nalasopara primary health centre doctors refused to conduct an autopsy, saying there was no female doctor present.

"They have been referred to JJ hospital to collect the viscera sample, which will be sent for analysis to Kalina forensic laboratory," said Narote.

"Any offence will be registered on the basis of the note found, and other statements of family members are recorded," said Narote.
