Two women among 6 killed in accidents

Two women were among six persons killed in separate road accidents in the district last night.

Chhaya (26) of Meet Vihar in Delhi and three friends from Delhi were going back after taking dinner at a ‘dhaba’ near Murthal when their speeding car overturned near Bahalgarh and fell into an open drain.

Chhaya died on the spot while Abhishek succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Delhi. The other car occupants — Vishnu and Vikas — were in injured in the accident.

On the complaint of Vishnu, a case was registered against Vikas, who was driving the car.

In another incident, Sahil of Khatik Basti in Gohana and Sandeep of Pataudi died on the spot when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a speeding car near Bidhal village on Sonepat-Gohana highway.

The unidentified car driver sped away from the spot. The victims were returning from Sonepat to Gohana. A case was registered at the Gohana sadar police station.

In the third incident, Lalmati (45) of Bighan died on the spot when she was hit by a speeding car near the Bari industrial area.

In yet another incident, the police found the unidentified body of a man aged around 30 years on the GT Road near Kundli. He was suspected to have been run over by a speeding vehicle.
