AGRA: Mainpuri Police has booked Pushpendra Yadav, the son of controversial veteran Samajwadi Party leader and chairman of Processing and Construction Cooperative Federation Ltd (PACCFED), Totaram Yadav, on charges of
criminal intimidation and making
obscene comments against a local SP Zila Panchayat member, Sucheta Shakya.
Station Officer, Bewar, Diwakar Singh said they had received a complaint from Sucheta on Sunday and had booked Pushpendra under Sections 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) and 294 (Obscene acts and songs) of the IPC.
In her complaint, Shakya has alleged that she was standing outside of her house in Bewar at 6 pm when Pushpendra came with his friend and started passing obscene comment at her. She has alleged that when she objected, the suspect threatened her to kill.
Incidentally, this isn’t the first time when Totataram Yadav has courted controversy, as he was booked by the Mainpuri Police in Oct 2015 for booth capturing in Bewar block. Yadav was booked after a two-minute video, showing him indulging in booth capturing, went viral on WhatsApp.
