Two youths from Alappuzha die in Tamil Nadu

ALAPPUZHA: Two youths from Alappuzha died at Kodaikanal on Sunday and the relatives said they died in the hotel room from carbon monoxide poisoning after grilling chicken. The deceased have been identified as Thomas Cheriyan(Thommi), 21, son of Cheriyan Thomas, Punamadam, Valiyamaram ward, Thiruvambadi, Alappuzha and Vipin, 26, Ullas Bhavan, son of Surendran, Sanathanapuram ward, Alappuzha.
Thomas is the fourth year B.Tech student of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Techonlogy, Ernakulam.
"They left Alappuzha on Friday in a traveler and we got information about their death on Sunday morning. There were around eight to 12 members in the team. We don’t know the exact cause of the death. Thomas' parents left for Kodaikanal on Sunday at 11 am. We got information that they died in the hotel room from carbon monoxide poisoning after grilling chicken. Vipin was the driver of their vehicle,’’ said Joseph A J, cousin of Thomas.
Thomas has left behind his father, mother Jessy and sisters Elizabeth and Tressa. Vipin is survived by his father, mother Vinodini and brother Vimal.
