ON THEATRE
Pranoti Pradhan is a familiar name in the TV industry but more so in the theatre circuit. She has done plays in several languages apart from Marathi, which is her mother tongue -spanning over a period of 12 years. “I love and miss theatre, but one has to move ahead with changing times,“ she shares.
ON HER GUJARATI CONNECT
She has done many Gujarati plays, the last one being in 2011.
“I last worked in Tamne Maline Anand Thayo. Another favourite was Hu, Raju ne Ruksana. Actually all the plays that I have done so far, in any language, were all very close to my heart,“ she says in fluent Gujarati.

ON REALITY TV
Pranoti has done some reality shows in Marathi and Gujarati and is a well-known anchor. “Reality television format is very experimental because there is no formula. There is no script that you or the people you invite on the show can follow so your brain has to be quick with responses all the time,“ she says about why doing a reality TV show is an exciting process.

ON AUDIENCE CONNECT
As she does her first reality TV show in Hindi (Aji Sunte Ho), she says that in the beginning, a lot of the participants are shy and don't talk much. “But as we progressed, they seemed to have a gala time and in the end they'd even hugged us and told us how much they enjoyed being on the show,“ she says sounding upbeat about the episodes they have already shot.
