Anurag Thankur said the youths of the country have taken serious note of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of creating a skilled and vibrant India and also the initiative taken by him to curb the menace of black money.
He was in Belagavi on Saturday to take part in a rally organized to mark the centenary celebrations of KLE Society.
The keenness with which the students of of educational institutions run by KLES are taking part in
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to keep the city and surrounding area clean is a testimony to the fact that youths are interested in programmes announced by Modi to make India a vibrant country, he added.
Thousands of KLES students from Hubballi, Athani, Chikkodi and Nippani participated in the rally organised to sensitize the people on issues like saving water and trees. The rally which started from Lele Ground passed through the First Gate, Congress Road, Railway Station, Bogarves before culminating at
Lingaraj College Ground where cultural programs were slated.
KLE working president and Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore, Belagavi MP Suresh Angadi, KLE president Shivanand Koujalagi and other dignitaries of the KLE society were present.
