Sivakarthikeyan in a spot of bother

A few producers had complained against the actor for refusing to keep up prior commitments after which Siva had to bow down to demands.

Problems continue to chase actor Sivakarthikeyan, who is on a high post his blockbuster Remo. One may recall his statement during the recent success meet of the movie, when he claimed that a few people tried hard to create obstructions for Remo — and are out to curtail his growth in Tamil cinema. Following this, a few producers filed a complaint against the Rajini Murugan actor at the Producers’ Council that he had not honoured his earlier commitment of acting in their films. They requested that FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) should not support Sivakarthikeyan’s next film shoot, unless their problems were sorted out!

Despite all this, Siva started his next with Jayam Raja — which is being produced by his friend and Remo producer, Raja — as planned on Thursday at Velachery in the city. The movie has Nayanthara as the female lead. Though the first day shoot went off well, they could not continue on Friday as only a few of the technicians from FEFSI turned up. This shocked the producer and actor among others.

Confirming the news to DC, a close source to producer Raja, says, “It is true that the shooting of Sivakarthikeyan’s new film was stalled on Friday, as many workers from the employees’ union who were required for the day’s shoot, did not turn up.”

An urgent meeting was convened at the TFPC at 3pm to discuss and sort out the issue, where several FEFSI honchos also participated. After a lot of deliberation and heated arguments, Siva agreed to act in two films — one for the first producer who complained, and another to be produced by the other two grievants!

We sure hope that the actor, who is in a purple patch of sorts, has a hassle-free time off-screen from now on.
