IMFL worth Rs 9.54lakh seized in Ranip

AHMEDABAD: A team of DCP Zone II squad raided an open plot at New Ranip late on Wednesday night and found a stock of 139 crates of IMFL of six brands, worth Rs 9.54 lakh. Police arrested a man at the spot for violation of prohibition laws.
According to Zone II officials police raided Mahalaxmi Godown near Sabarmati Estate in New Ranip on Wednesday. Police caught Umesh Patel, who had brought the stock. Usha Rada, DCP Zone II, said Umesh was earlier caught in Madhavpura and Dariapur police stations for violation of prohibition laws.“Umesh has confessed that he used to get the stock from Rajasthan and supply it to his regular buyers,” she said.
