RAJKOT: A complaint of abetment of suicide was lodged against in-laws of Jinkal Kalavadia (23), a resident of Shyamal Skylights near Ambika township in Rajkot. She had jumped before a moving train near Mahila College underpass last week and committed suicide. She had married Mohit Kalavadia from Surat in April this year.
According to police, Jinkal’s mother Jayaben lodged a complaint against her daughter’s husband Mohit, mother-in-law Vanita, father-in-law Dileep and brother-in-law Harsh with the women’s police station in Rajkot on Thursday.

Jayaben alleged that Jinkal’s husband and in-laws were harassing her mentally over domestic issues. Therefore, she committed suicide.
On November 4, Jinkal came to her maternal home in Rajkot from Surat. She later left home telling she was going to meet her friend. However, she did not return after hours and her family members got worried.
