Huntington Beach 19, Damien 7

Ryan Hurst had five goals for the Oilers in Wednesday’s CIF Southern Section Division 1 first-round playoff match at Huntington Beach High.

Curtis Jarvis, Quinten Osborne and Ethan Wojciechowski all added four goals for No. 3-seeded Huntington Beach (22-3), which will play at Mater Dei in a quarterfinal game Saturday.

Corona del Mar 14, Mira Costa 7

Tamir Avital and Michell Cooper each scored four goals for the Sea Kings in Wednesday’s CIF Southern Section Division 1 first-round playoff match at CdM.

Will Rodosky had three goals, three assists and five steals for CdM, while Matt Moran-Flores made eight saves.

CdM (21-7) will play at No. 4-seeded Orange Lutheran in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Laguna Beach 16, Santa Monica 5

The top-seeded Breakers advanced in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 first-round playoff match Wednesday at Laguna Beach High.

Laguna Beach (19-9) will play at Hoover in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
