Aparna Gopinath broke the mould of stereotypical heroines with her debut movie
ABCD, in which she played a tomboy and a socially concerned student, Madhumitha.
The actress is now all set to play a similar role in Nivin Pauly's upcoming movie Sakhavu, which is directed by Sidhartha Siva.
While Aparna confirms that she is part of the film and is excited to work with Nivin, she refuses to divulge much about her character.
However, a source from the production unit tells us that she will be playing an activist. 'Aparna will essay the role of an activist Neeti, who lives in Thrissur. She is bold and smart and a graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. Her father too is a social activist,' the source says.
The film will see Nivin as a communist leader named Krishnakumar. Kaaka Muttai fame
