Pratibha Tiwari upset with her role ending abruptly in 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya'

Pratibha Tiwari is seething with anger. Her track in the show, 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya', has been edited out overnight. Her reel husband Harsh Rajput has also met with the same fate. The actress, who entered the show on March 20, was under a three-year contract. She was promised that her character Naiya — Gopi’s daughter-in-law — would be one of the lead roles in the show. However, all her dreams were shattered on October 22.”
She says, “None of the promises were fulfilled and my character turned out to be rather inconsequential.I kept following up with the team regarding my shoot, but repeated calls and messages went unanswered. That’s when I realised that my dialogue in my last episode actually marked the end of my track. However, I still cherished hopes about returning to the show like my co-actor Vandana Pathak. Instead, I received a message from a unit member that my track had ended. I am upset with their unprofessional behaviour, they should have told me about their decision a month in advance.”
Expecting this show to be her big break after her last outing 'Badtameez Dil' shut abruptly in just a month, Pratibha didn’t take up offers that came her way. She rues, “I wanted to focus all my energies on this show and declined other roles, including an an international play.”
What if they call her back? “I don’t want to return to the show now. I want to take up lead roles and not just any character,” she replies.
