Man held with stolen revolver

A team of city crime branch arrested a 42-year old man for possession of a revolver of Indian make. The firearm was stolen from a bungalow in Satellite six years ago.

AHMEDABAD: A team of city crime branch arrested a 42-year old man for possession of a revolver of Indian make. The firearm was stolen from a bungalow in Satellite six years ago.
As per crime branch officials, a team got information on Apoorva Kotadiya, 42, a resident fo Shukan Glory, Gota, and had caught him from near Chandlodia on Monday. Kotadiya was found in possession of a revolver.
“Questioning revealed that he had got the revolver from a youth named Jeetu.
Jeetu had apparently stolen the firearm from Shreenath Park Society near Umiya Vijay in Satellite in June 2010. Along with the revolver, the thief had also stolen gold and silver ornaments along with cash,” said an official, adding that the accused has been caught ealier for theft and economic offences.
