The official trailer of Indrajith Sukumaran and Rima Kallingal's Kaadu Pookkunna Neram has been released online on Tuesday, November 8. The team of the upcoming offbeat movie had earlier announced about the trailer launch on Facebook.

The one-minute-six-second video, has been uploaded on the YouTube page of Weekend Blockbusters, owned by Sophia Paul, who bankrolls the Dr Biju directorial. The trailer gives an insight on the movie's theme in which Indrajith plays the role of a policeman, who is being sent to a forest to arrest Rima's character, the chief of a radical organisation.

"A special battalion of police is deployed by the government to do away with Maoist menace (a banned Left organization) in a tribal village adjacent to the forest; the police forcibly occupy two rooms out of four for their camp in a primary school with bare minimum facilities, meant for tribal children. One day, the police are on lookout for some people who were found in the forest near the school at night. A policeman follows a person deep into the forest and nabs the person. The person arrested happens to be a woman. He tries to come out of the forest with the arrested person, but he loses his way in the wild [sic]," reads the description of the video.

Meanwhile, even before its official release, Indrajith and Rima-starrer was the official selected movie at the recently concluded Montreal International Film Festival in Canada, Eurasia International Film Festival in Kazakhstan, Asia Pacific Screen Awards in Australia, Arica Marina Film Festival in Chile, International Film Festival in Kerala and Indian Panorama International Film Festival. The upcoming movie also stars Prakash Bare, Indrans, Irshad, Krishnan Balakrishnan, Jayachandran Kadambanad and Gopan Karunagapally in significant roles.

Kaadu Pookkunna Neram, which has bagged 'U' certificate from the regional censor board in June, is expected to be yet another good offbeat movie, since the director has many award winning films to his credit. The National Film Award winning filmmaker is known for his critically acclaimed projects, including Veettilekkulla Vazhi, Perariyathavar and Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal, among many others.
