Prithvi’s next will be Muthina Haara

Looks like Sandalwood has welcomed this newcomer with open arms. The 6.3-foot-tall Prithvi, who is making his Kannada debut with filmmaker Preetham Gubbi’s Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi, has already grabbed his second film and even before the release of his first.

Ever since the trailer and songs of his much-awaited debut  has been released, GK Venkatesh’s grandson has been receiving much praise. The actor, who is being appreciated so widely, is even catching filmmakers’ attention.

New actor bags his second film even before he sees the release
of his debut Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi. The second will carry a
title that will inspire nostalgia

We hear that he has started preparing for his second movie and, according to reports, the muhurath is to take place on November 9 in a grand manner with the presence of a few celebrities. The shooting will start from November 23.

This film’s first attraction is its title, Muthina Haara, which should rekindle nostalgia among the audience for a Vishnuvardhan classic that also saw Suhasini in the lead. Directed by Rajendra Singh Babu and released in 1990, the movie even won a national award in the regional category and a state award.

The production house does not share much of details of Prithvi’s latest but we hear that there is no connection with the older film. “The makers have roped in a new director, Rishi who has come up with a mass thriller with dollops of mother-son sentiments. The film is produced by Manjunath Sanjeev, who was associated with Rose. Joining him will be a lot more people investing in the project,” says our source.

Meanwhile, the team of Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi have officially announced the release date as  November 25. Stated to be India’s first film on motocross and bike racing, it also marks the debut of Malavika Mohanan with a star cast of Prakash Raj, Madhoo and Rangayana Raghu playing important roles. The film is being produced by Manjunath K, Jayanna and Bogendra has V. Harikrishna’s music and Preetha Jayaram’s camera work.
