ACB unearths Rs 30 crore illegal property of Bheemili sub-registrar
Visakhapatnam: The central investigation unit (CIU) of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed around Rs 3 crore disproportionate assets amassed by sub-registrar Billa Sanjeevaiah of Bheemili. The market value of the property is estimated to be above Rs 30 crore.
CIU teams led by DSP SVV Prasada Rao conducted simultaneous raids at four places including Sanjeevaiah’s residences at Peda Annadipudi in Prakasam district and Ongole Town as well as residences of his relatives in Hyderabad and a few other places.

The DSP said documents have been seized related to flats in Hyderabad, two houses in Vanastalipuram and Martur as well as eight residential plots in Hyderabad, Martur, Addanki, and Guntur. Apart from this, documents regarding ownership of 33.23 acres of agricultural land in Martur and Peda Annadipudi of Prakasam district have also been unearthed.
The cops also recovered Rs 2.53 lakh cash, gold jewellery weighing 500 grams and 1.7 kg silver from Sanjeevaiah’s house, a two-wheeler worth Rs 60,000, a Chevrolet Beat car worth Rs 5 lakh, household articles worth Rs 5.77 lakh, fixed deposit receipts worth Rs 11 lakh, promissory notes worth Rs 10 lakh, and bank balance of Rs 12 lakh.
ACB sources said Sanjeevaiah worked as a sub-registrar in Madhurawada before assuming charge as sub-registrar of Bheemili around one month ago. However, he was later deputed to Vijayawada in the same department. ACB officials said they would disclose the total value of the illegal assets on Tuesday.
