SC reaffirms clean chit to Shah in Sohrabuddin case

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition seeking a review of its verdict upholding the clean chit to BJP chief Amit Shah in a 2005 case pertaining to the killing of gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh by Gujarat police in a “fake encounter”.



New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition seeking a review of its verdict upholding the clean chit to BJP chief Amit Shah in a 2005 case pertaining to the killing of gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh by Gujarat police in a “fake encounter”. Shah was the Home Minister then. On August 1, SC had upheld the Bombay HC verdict by rejecting an appeal by activist Harsh Mander. TNS
