The core committee of the Himachal BJP will meet at Kasauli in Solan district tomorrow to review the post-Modi rally political situation and chalk out tentative programme for the proposed visit of BJP president Amit Shah to the state.

As per the tentative programme, Amit Shah will arrive on December 10 and his detailed programme, including the number and venues of rallies, would be discussed and finalised at the meeting, said state BJP president Satpal Singh Satti.

Current political situation, charge–sheet to be submitted to the Governor against the alleged acts of omission and commission of the government and the strategy for the forthcoming Assembly elections due next year would be discussed at the meeting.

Earlier, the party was expecting that Amit Shah would pay a three-day visit to the state and hold workers meetings at key places in the run-up to the Assembly polls but he has a number of engagements in hand as elections are slated to be held in February and March next year in Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Manipur.

The core committee would also discuss programmes to be taken up for launching an aggressive campaign against the Congress government in the state to achieve “mission 50 plus”.

Besides, major issues like corruption, mafia raj and failures of the government, the core committee would also make an assessment of strength of the party in different constituencies and measures to further strengthen the party at the booth level.

As the sustained efforts of the party during past three-and-a-half years to dislodge Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in the wake of disproportionate assets cases registered against him by the CBI and the ED, have not yielded desired results, the party would now embark on “charge-sheet” to be submitted against the government on completion of four years in power.

The meeting to be chaired by state president Satpal Singh Satti is likely to be attended by Union health Minister J P Nadda, Leader of the Opposition P K Dhumal, BJP state in charge Srikant Sharma, MP Shanta Kumar, MPs Anurag Thakur, Ram Swaroop Sharma and Virender Kashyap, besides BJP leaders Randhir Sharma, Rajiv Bindal and Vipin Parmar.
