ATM fraud: Duo from Jharkhand held

MALAPPURAM: The special investigation team, which is probing the ATM fraud case, in Nilambur took two persons into custody from Jharkhand on Friday. The search for two more persons is still on. It is learnt that the team headed by the DSP of Perinthalmanna M P Mohana Chandran took the persons from a village in Jharkand with the support of police. The incident related to the case occurred two weeks ago.
Two persons had lost Rs 7.5 lakh after they disclosed one time password (OTP) of their bank transaction to an unknown person, who introduced himself as officer from the headquarters of the bank.

The complainants Raghupathi and his wife Geethakumari approached police with the complaint regarding the unauthorized transaction in their account in Bank of India. Police said the details of the accused would be disclosed within two days after the arrest of remaining accused.
