PHAGWARA: After thorough investigations into the complaint of kidnapping of two minor sisters it has been revealed that the little girls had cooked up the story. The little girls also held to their ground for over a day but it was only after repeated questioning and a thorough investigation that they admitted that the story of their kidnapping was the creation of a 13-year-old.
Kaudian Mohalla resident Deepak Sharma had complained to the police on Friday that his two daughters Hina, 13 and Jessica, 11, had gone missing.
They had left home for school but had not returned until afternoon and upon arriving they told their parents that they had been kidnapped and were kept at a place from where they escaped.
Kapurthala SSP Rajinder Singh who supervised the investigations said that the girls got late for school in the morning and missed their school bus. On Saturday they admitted that they were scared and did not want to face scolding from their parents and so they went away to the bazaar and cooked up the story of their kidnapping.
“The elder girl is quite sharp and she cooked up the whole story and told her younger sibling to remain firm on it,” SSP revealed.
The girls had claimed that when they were standing in the Chowk a small four wheeler came and two persons asked them to board the vehicle. The men said that they were sent by their bus driver. The girls told that later they were blindfolded and were later taken to a room. They told their father that they noticed a broken window through which they escaped.
They also claimed that there were two other children in the room. Police got suspicious about their claims as there was no complaint of any more missing children and preliminary investigations from the place also did not corroborate with what they were telling.
