DEHRADUN: The student leaders from
DAV PG college took to the streets on Friday and also met police officers to demand stern action against the increasing
drug menace among students in the city.
Talking to TOI, president of DAV student union from
ABVP, Rahul Kumar, said, “The future of students is at risk once they fall prey to the drug habit. Drugs are easily available near schools and colleges and this issue needs to be strictly addressed.
We are trying to raise awareness which will only be possible with police help and we are glad they have agreed to lend their support.”
Earlier, a TOI report in the last week of October had highlighted that drug abuse is rampant among youngsters in the state.
