Mock drill ahead of Chhath puja

NEW DELHI: Ahead of Chhath puja, Central District Disaster Management Authority carried out a drill at Hathi Ghat in ITO to assess the preparedness of Emergency Support Functionaries (ESF).
A scene was staged where one person had drowned, three had died in a stampede and six people injured. Emergency services were tested on dealing with these three situations.
The area SDM, Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, CATS ambulance, Quick Response Team, BSES, CDMO, DDMA, civil defence, traffic police and boat club management participated in the drill.The drill started at 3.32pm and concluded at 4.04pm.
