Sanitation worker murdered

AHMEDABAD: One Babu Chauhan, resident of Juna Vadaj, has lodged a complaint with Madhavpura police station that his elder brother Shailesh Chauhan was bludgeoned to death near a closed shop in Madhavpura area on Wednesday.
Police sources said Shailesh was working as a sanitation worker in a dumper used to transport garbage from various places in the city to the dumping yard.
"We believe Shailesh had an illicit relationship with a woman staying on the same footpath, where he was found murdered.We are searching for the woman to learn the facts," said a police official.
In another incident, an alleged bootlegger, Taran Sardar, and five of his accomplices attacked and injured Nirva Thakore of Juna Vadaj with sharp-edged weapons on Monday morning.
